Bet Types To Make Money
When we refer to “Bet Types” we mean the following, the predictions data for which we post on our Soccer-Predictions.com (SoccerPreds) website and which are determined by our in-house computerised software we call our Predict-A-Win (PaW) Program:
- 1X2 Betting (Home Win Calls, Draw Calls and Away Win Calls),
- Double Chance Betting (1X, 2X and 12 Calls),
- Win Only Betting (where a Draw result means “no bet”, so money back),
- Under 2.5 Goals Betting,
- Over 2.5 Goals Betting, and
- Asian Handicap Betting.
It is difficult enough to find ways to beat the Bookies because of the sophisticated computer prediction programs they employ, coupled with the very high Over-Rounds applied by the Bookies to what they consider as the obvious ‘Favourites’ to win a match. However, for some Bet Types it is even more difficult than others to make money. Asian Handicap Betting (AHB) is the one we consider to be the same as betting on a roulette table, and so we do not bother to cover it on this website, although AHB predictions are given on the SoccerPreds website.
We have established, and can easily prove, that the software used by the Bookies for determining the most likely outcomes for football matches is no more accurate overall than the output from our PaW Program, although we have observed that there can be far more differences in the expectations of the two different prediction systems when it comes to “Evenly Matched” teams (i.e., where the differences in the “Win Quotients” of the two teams in a match are not so large that one of the teams can be considered to be the Strong Team). The term “Win Quotient” is one that we devised in the year 2000, which is when we first began developing the PaW Program, and it is simply a figure, expressed as a percentage, calculated by reference to the number of points a team has earned/made compared to the maximum possible number of points any of the teams could have earned/made in their respective Divisions.
On this SoccerPAT website, there are two different ways you can find out what Bet Types have been making money not just so far in the Current Season but also in past Seasons. The easiest way is simply to click on the Research link in the top menu bar or click on the “SoccerPAT Research Outputs” box on the Home screen that sits under the menu bar; both ways take you to the same screen. There you will see many lines of Bet Types that have made money, complete with the details of all the parameters that created the winners.
The second method is to click the Explorer link in the top menu bar, which takes you to a template that gives you complete freedom to try out as many combinations of betting parameters as you may wish, in order for you to see what would have happened returns-wise for almost any “what if” betting combination you can think of.
